SYNOPSIS OF THE DOCUMENTARY & PHOTOGRAPHY BOOK
The documentary and book, "Art Heals: The Jingle Dress Project," compile photographs and videos taken over four years of travels around the world. They highlight the love and unity of thousands of people from hundreds of different cultures and tribes—both Indigenous and non-native—who joined us on a spiritual healing journey during the COVID-19 pandemic.
These works share stories of the individuals involved in the project and the personal experiences of the jingle dress dancers. This book and documentary recount the historic pandemic and healing effort that fostered unity and strength amid pain and suffering.

Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping us uplift communities. We hope that once completed, this documentary and book will continue to inspire healing and show how art can heal through Native traditions and culture. Ahe'hee!

In November 2021, Christian Allaire, Ojibwe writer, interviewed and highlighted our project for Vogue magazine. See story and photography HERE.
"While the project offers a sense of healing to Indigenous people who see the dance, it has also evolved to be an opportunity to educate and introduce non-Indigenous people to the artform..."

HOW JINGLE DRESSES ARE BEING USED TO HEAL COMMUNITIES

So far, we have traveled over 25,000 miles! The girls willingly have camped in the cold and rain, done their homework on their phones, ate cold sandwiches, put their makeup on in a moving vehicle, and dressed into their regalia in the wild––to heal the land and people.
